  38. This fix sounds great.  However, I have some concern about removing the ";".  
  39.  
  40. The purpose of the ";", as I understand it, is to execute a modem command 
  41. _WITHOUT_ leaving command mode.  The modem remains ready for the next command.

  43. This isn't always needed.  But sometimes it is.  My fear is that the ";" the 
  44. modem me go "on-line" when the driving software doesn't expect that result.
