- This fix sounds great. However, I have some concern about removing the ";".

- The purpose of the ";", as I understand it, is to execute a modem command
- _WITHOUT_ leaving command mode. The modem remains ready for the next command.

- This isn't always needed. But sometimes it is. My fear is that the ";" the
- modem me go "on-line" when the driving software doesn't expect that result.
